James "Jim" Zipprich departed this life on Monday, May 20, 2019, at the age of 58 years, 1 month, and 10 days. He was born in Berwyn, Illinois, on April 10, 1961, the son of Diane Cunningham Zipprich and the late Jerome Anthony Zipprich. On April 21, 1996 he was united in marriage to Joanna Schuman, who survives.
Jim's hometown was Lamont, Illinois. He had also lived in Charlotte County, Florida and most recently Savannah, Tennessee, where he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Colombus, and the Carpenter's Union. Jim was very smart and was even a concert pianist when he was younger. He loved animals and people, was very social and outgoing, loved to laugh and joke, was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, and made friends easily...he was friends with everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Joanna Zipprich of Savannah, Tennessee; mother, Diane Cunningham Zipprich of Adamsville, Tennessee; stepsons, Joshua and Andrew Sanchez; a step grandson, Xavier Alexander Sanchez; aunt and uncle, Pat and Mike Raymond of Illinois; special cousins, David Zipprich of Wisconsin, Lee and Debbie Syrewicze, and Mary Anne and Jay Syre, all of Michigan; and a host of other cousins, extended family, and friends who he thought of as family.
In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Frances Cunningham and Frances Zipprich.
