Janeen Robinson

October 22, 1944 — October 11, 2019

Janeen Grace Evertson Robinson was born October 22, 1944, in Beatrice, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Ora and Iola Halcomb Evertson. As a single mother, she found the love of her life and was united in marriage to Glenn Robinson on April 20, 1984.

Mrs. Robinson worked for Caterpillar, Inc., in Mossville, Illinois for 23 years as an engineer. In 2001, she along with her husband retired to Tennessee. She believed in staying busy and always had a project started. She and her husband enjoyed working on projects together: they built their houses in Illinois and Tennessee along with many other unique projects. Recently they built a tree house, which has all the amenities of a hotel suite. She loved the outdoors, horses, traveling and trail rides on her bicycle. She never said no to helping others and she never gave up. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Selmer, and former member of the Methodist churches in Princeville, Illinois, and Kimball, Nebraska.

Mrs. Robinson departed this life on October 11, 2019 in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 74 Years, 11 Months, 19 Days. She is survived by her husband Glenn Robinson of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; her daughter, Dana Showalter, and granddaughter, Bailey Cronch, of Denver, Colorado; two brothers, Donald Evertson and wife Alice of Kimball, Nebraska, and Edwin Evertson and wife Gail of Littleton, Colorado; four step-children, Ronald Robinson and wife Judy of Alpha, Illinois, Michael Robinson of Woodhull, Illinois, Janet Jeffers and husband Chris of Groveland, Illinois, and Tracy Robinson of Peoria, Illinois; six step-grandchildren, Josh Robinson, Jennifer Robinson, Ashley Marchulones, Brent Jeffers, Brittney Thomas, Kayla Jeffers; nine nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her son, Scott Alan Booker; her sister, Patty Kay Evertson; her nephew, Benjamin Evertson, and a step-daughter, Kathy Marchulones.
