Henderson, TN: Janie Ruth Spurgeon Logan age 64 passed away December 17, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Odessa, TX (Ector County) the daughter of the late Hubert Charles and Lula Mae Murray Spurgeon. She made her home in Texas and worked in the home health field. She moved to Henderson January 2006. She worked for Southwest Human Resource as a home health aide until 2010 when she was diagnosed with cancer. She enjoyed fishing, swimming and caring for her grandchildren. She was Baptist in faith.
Mrs. Logan is survived by three daughters, Kim Gray (Jason) of Henderson, Melissa Anne Lawrence of Waco, TX and Jennifer Richardson (Michael) of Monahans, TX and a son, Joseph Lawrence of Monahans, TX; two brothers, Larry Spurgeon of Athens, TX and Sammy Spurgeon of Shepherd, TX; a sister, Joan Holley of Morgan, TX; grandchildren, Ashley LaFont, Cody Shifflett, Maison Gray, Hailey Brown, Vanesia Richardson and Sierra Richardson and one great grandchild, Liam LaFont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Ricky Dale Spurgeon, Gary Spurgeon, Randall Ray Spurgeon and Danny Gene Surgeon, a sister, Patsy Bonds and a grandchild, Jacob Shifflett.
There will be no local services. Burial will be later in Waco, TX.
