JANNIE MAI WHITE
Henderson, TN: Jannie Mai Wood White age 76 passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born July 5, 1943 in Savannah, TN, the daughter of the late Jessie Harrison ‘Bud’ Wood and Dexter Ann White Wood. She graduated from Hardin County High School in 1961. She married Robert Wayne White of Henderson on November 11, 1965. They made their home in Henderson. She was a believer in God.
Jannie was a hairdresser, working in shops in Henderson and Savannah. She also worked in Memphis at “New Breed, International Hair Salon” with her sister, where she did bookkeeping and was a certified CPA.
She loved drag racing and enjoyed keeping her yard pretty. She enjoyed taking care of her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. White is survived by two sons, Wayne White (Kim) of Henderson and Josh White (Tonya) of Henderson and two daughters, Samantha White of Franklin, TN and Penni Estes (Eddie) of Jackson; 8 grandchildren Taylor Michelle Seay, Dylan Wayne White (Maley), Mitchell Blake White (Lauren), Tanner Thomas White, Kera Nichole White, Madison Elizabeth Adams, Colby Stout, Kelsey Trice; and 10 great grandchildren James 'Trey' Patterson III, Mitchell Brayden White, Karley Beth White, Lexi Faith White, Jaxon Wayne White, Waylon Luke White, Olivia Jean White, Hayden Stout, Liam Stout, Xavier Trice and Joshua Clyde Estes and a sister, Brooxie Summers of Pickwick, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert Wayne White in 2009; and a sister Margaret Handley.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 5th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time on Sunday.
