JEAN BIGGERT
Henderson, TN: Alma Jean Lepper Biggert, age 75, passed away January 2, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born March 15, 1943 at Friendship, TN, the daughter of the late Ozie Edgar and Helen Marie King Lepper. She graduated from Friendship High School in 1961 and attended Freed-Hardeman University. She married Charles Augusta 'Bill' Biggert, Jr. in 1972. They made their home in Houston, TX a few years prior to moving to Tennessee. She had several occupations and was proud to be a homemaker. She had made their home in Henderson since 2002. Mr. Biggert died in 2010.
She loved sports and was a St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan and was an avid supporter of the Memphis Grizzles. She enjoyed traveling and attending events at the Memphis Orpheum. She was a huge Elvis fan. She was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ.
Mrs. Biggert is survived by two sons, Charles Anthony ‘Tony’ Biggert of Houston, TX and Cary Alden Biggert of Fresno, CA and two daughters, Catherine Biggert Williams of St. Charles, MO and Julia Paige Lofton of Henderson; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild and two sisters, Susan Davis of Memphis and Donna Freeze of Myrtle Beach, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles A. 'Bill' Biggert, Jr. in 2010.
Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Saturday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Scott Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Saturday.
