Jean Nails, 77, of Bolivar, passed from this life Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Woodrow W. Nails, Jr., who died on April 30, 2020, after over 19 years of marriage, she was retired as an administrative secretary, working 31 years at Western Mental Health Institute. She was born Thursday, September 7, 1944, in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Franklin Leroy Taylor and Gladys Clark Taylor and lived in Chester County prior to moving back here 21 years ago. Mrs. Nails was known for her vigilant work with Relay for Life and was active in the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with her family and church, and her dog, Christie. Mrs. Nails was a member of Hornsby United Methodist Church..
Survivors include her sons, Gregory Alan Rowland (Angie) of Pinson and Dennis Jay Rowland (Twona) of Henderson; three brothers, George and Anthony Taylor, both of Henderson and Larry Joe Taylor of Mercer; a stepson, Brett Nails (Dana) of Henderson and a stepdaughter, Stephanie Colbeck of Nashville; 9 grandchildren, Kyle and Eric Rowland, Adam Baker, Nathan and Ethan Nails, Alexander, Bonnie, Victoria and Andrew Colbeck; and two great grandchildren, Adalaya and Kaylin Baker. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Taylor.
