Jean Woody departed this life on June 6, 2015 at her residence in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 30 days. She was born on August 7, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter to the late Macy Willis and Mary Margaret Amos Davis.
She was united in marriage to Jack L. Woody on May 17, 1976. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1988.
Jean was retired as a dispatcher from Aqua Glass. She was also previously employed part-time at ETC Trucking in Stantonville, Tennessee. Jean was also a member of the Eastern Star, Savannah Chapter. She was born and raised in Indiana and attended Decatur Central High School. She graduated in 1956.
Mrs. Woody loved spending time with her family and friends. She has lived at Pickwick over 34 years and has made many friends. She especially loved Christmas time and always had a great time buying toys for kids. All kids must have toys to open at Christmas was her belief. She also loved quilting. Her biggest love besides her kids were her dogs, Sammie and Annie.
Jean is survived by her children, Margaret A. Rowlawds and her husband, David, of Winamac, Indiana and Suzie L. Cabler of Counce, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sarah Jean Huber and her husband, Don, of Hall, Indiana and Jackie L. Thompson; and great-grandchildren, Paisley Huber and Madysan Huber both of Hall, Indiana.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is preceded in death by her siblings, Louise Marr, Willis Davis, Charles Davis, Jimmy Davis, and Macy Alan Davis.
