JERREL FLATT, SR.
Lexington, TN: Mr. Jerrel Wayne Flatt, Sr. died Sunday evening, April 9, 2022 at his son’s home in Lexington.
He was born April 18, 1938 in Enville, TN son of the late Albert and Vernie Catherine Cagle Flatt.
He married Mary Lee Banks in 1972 and they made their home in Bethel Springs and then in Jackson. They owned and operated J & M Apparel in Henderson from the early 80’s to the late 90’s when they retired. Since Jerrel loved to work, he then began logging until about 2005.
He spent the last years of his life living with his son’s family and enjoyed vacationing and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two stepdaughters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary in 2010; a daughter; two stepsons and a sister.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family will be holding a private service.
