Jerry Albert Benedict

Jerry Albert Benedict of Collinwood, TN was born December 12, 1945 in Phoenix, AZ, the son of the late Albert Bernard and Ora Mathis Holcomb Benedict. He married Patricia Skillern on November 20, 1976. He had served in the United States Navy, was a special agent with ATSF and had worked as the Collinwood Chief of Police. He had worked at Hassell and Hughes Lumber Company and the Wayne County Board of Education and departed this life September 2, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 8 Months, 21 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Benedict, Collinwood, TN; sons, Aaron Benedict, wife, Julia and Joshua, Jacob and John Benedict all of Collinwood, TN; daughters, Alexia Benedict, companion, Josh Staggs, Lawrenceburg, TN, Lora Benedict, Dallas, TX and Laney and Cyprus Benedict both of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Baily, Cady, Zachary and Aleah Benedict, Ashton Rippy and Josiah Ellis.

At his request, Jerry will be cremated without any services. His family request no flowers. Memorial donations may be made at Wayne County Bank, Collinwood, TN for his minor children.
