Mr. Jerry Lewis Stewart, age 67 of Beech Bluff, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Hardeman County on Saturday, June 1, 1952 to the late Elmer Thaxter and Lillie Pearl Webster Stewart. He married Linda Kay Bass on September 12, 1970 and retired as a millwright from Element Aluminum in Jackson in 2014. The Stewarts had lived in Beech Bluff for the past 14 years.
In his leisure time, "Daddy Jerry" (as he was known to many), enjoyed horses, camping, his dogs and helping anyone who needed it. He loved his family, especially his new granddaughter, Henley, and his many "adopted kids."
In addition to his wife of 49 years, he leaves his daughter, Dana Stewart (Kevin) McDade of Jackson; his son, Todd Stewart of Smithville, TN; his granddaughter, Henley McDade of Jackson; five sisters, Jeanette Gladish of Jackson, Judy Wiggins of Bolivar, Rita Treadway of Henderson, Connie (Jimmy) Hannis of Middleton and Bonnie (Danny) Sisco of Bolivar; two brothers, Bobby (Ruthie) Stewart of Middleton and Kenneth Stewart of Bolivar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sipes.
