Jerry Swinea Sr.

Jerry Wayne Swinea Sr. was born August 19, 1950 in Fayette, AL the son of Bonnie Lou Wright Swinea and the late William Lonnie Swinea. He was united in marriage to Catherine Dixon on May 18, 1968. Mr. Swinea was a taxidermist, worked for Murray Ohio doing Prototype Layout, and was a member of the Green River Tabernacle in Waynesboro, TN. Mr. Swinea departed this life on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, and 14 Days.
He is survived by his wife Catherine (Dixon) Swinea; mother Bonnie Lou Wright Swinea ; a son, Jerry Swinea Jr.; and a grandchild, Seth Swinea, all of Waynesboro, TN.
In addition to his father, Mr. Swinea was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Swinea; and a brother, Roger Swinea.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro, TN, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
