Jerry W. McIntyre, age 54, of Bolivar departed this life January 9, 2018 at his home.
The husband of Shirley Lowrance McIntyre, who survives, he worked as a machinist with Tool Products in Jackson for 17 years, prior to becoming disabled 11 years ago. He was born December 31, 1963, in Covington, Tennessee, the son of Gladys Inez Burns Queen (DeWayne) of Florence, AL and the late Jerry McIntyre and lived in Bolivar for 29 years. He enjoyed playing golf, watching football with his son, and playing ball with his children when they were young and serving as a coach for their teams.
In addition to his wife, whom he married on June 20, 1981, and his mother and stepfather, survivors include 2 daughters, Bridgette Nicole Novay (Jeremy) and Chelsea "Boo" McIntyre, both of Bolivar; a son, Eric McIntyre (Anna) of Bolivar; a brother, Bobby Earl Smith of Henderson; five grandchildren, MacKenzie Hope Dorris, Breyonna, Kaylee and Lizzie Novay and Nixon Bryce McIntyre; and one great grandchild 'on the way'.
He was preceded in death by his father, 3 sisters, Gladys Ruth Smith, Linda Diane Smith and Judy Nell Hall and a brother, Billy Joe Smith.
