Jess M. Dicus

Mr. Jess Miller Dicus departed this life on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 7 Months, 20 Days. He was born October 7, 1944 in Clifton, Tn the son of the late Hughie and Maudie Miller Dicus. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dicus was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Ann Dicus; half brothers, Freddie Berry, J.D. Dicus, Clarence Berry, Glenn Dicus and Billy Dicus.

He was united in marriage to Patsy Morgan on April 26, 1980.

He had been disabled for several years, previously he had worked at Sim's Mortor Lodge in general maintenance. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints .

He is survived by his wife Patsy Morgan Dicus of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Jess Patrick (J.P.) Dicus of Pulaski, TN; sisters, Nell White and husband Don , and Mary Ayers and husband Deward all of Waynesboro, TN.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee with Larry Janes and Leamon Quillen officiating. Burial will follow in Waynesboro Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 28, 5:30--9:00 pm and on Thursday, May 29, 8:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Pallbearers are Brian Staggs, Austin Staggs, Terry Quillen, Brent Quillen, Tim Holt, and Junior Byrd. Honorary are Keith Quillen, James Butler, and Matthew Morgan.
