    Jill Elaine Potter-Howell

    February 8, 1958 - October 5, 2021

Jill Elaine Potter-Howell February 8, 1958- October 5, 2021 Jill Elaine Potter-Howell, 63, was born in El Paso, TX on February 8, 1958 and realized her life’s service quietly at home with family on Monday, October 5, 2021 following a prolonged illness. In her early years, Jill grew up in Memphis, TN with 2 younger sisters, Lynne Ann and Ruthie Joann, and enjoyed softball, reading, and horseback riding. Jill had a Welsh Pony named Patchy and competed in horse shows, often taking home a blue ribbon. This dedicated and zealous wife, mother, and grandmother began her family’s journey by marrying her “Cutie Wootie” beau, Charles Wade Howell on June 7, 1975. The elated couple welcomed their only son, Charles Matthew Howell, into the world on September 8, 1976 and made a home in Memphis, Tennessee. The household relocated in the Summer of 1991 to join the Potter Ranch in Middleton, TN. Jill showed a flair for teaching the family children steadfast crafts such as kite flying and bike riding. Jill and Charles enjoy fishing on their property and welcomed a daughter-in-law and 3 grandsons into their life. Jill held summer boot camps for the grandboys and safeguarded her family’s health in the most fantastic ways. Memorial services are at Shackelford’s Funeral Home in Bolivar, TN at 2pm on Friday, October 8, 2021. This lovely lady was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Doris Potter, and waits patiently to see again her husband, Charles Wade Howell, Son and Daughter-in-Law, Matt and Lillie Howell, and grandsons, Michael Andru Howell, Matthew Blake Howell, and Ian Carter Howell, and sisters, Lynne Ann Potter-Ellington, Ruthie and Sammy Woody.
