Jim Kirby Carlin

Jim Kirby Carlin was born August 6, 1935 in Selmer, TN, the son of the late Kirby Andrew and Anne Leota Boatman Carlin. He was united in marriage to Caroline Jane Lundberg on February 20, 1960. Caroline preceded him in death on November 6, 2007.He was a retired Electric Engineer. He had a love for gardening and the outdoors. Jim's life of travel carried him all over the world and throughout the United States.

Mr. Carlin departed this life on August 1, 2018 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 11 Months, 26 Days.

He is survived by two sons, Andrew Carlin and wife Mary of Elmwood Park, IL, Peter Carlin and wife Jeanine of Geneseo, IL; four grandchildren: Stephanie, Sophia, Thomas and Elizabeth Carlin; a sister, Sherrel Lynn Carlin and companion Mike of Selmer, TN; and a host of friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Carlin was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Hathcock; and two brothers, John Robert and E. Rabon Carlin.
