Jimmie David Basham

Mr. Jimmie David Basham was born December 19, 1944 in Amory, MS the son of the late Arice Marvin and Vivian Kendrick Basham. He was united in marriage to Linda Virginia Moore on March 28, 1964. Mr. Basham was a Supervisor at Genesco, worked for Hollis Academy, a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro, a member of the Lion's Club and a member of the Jaycees. He will forever be lovingly remembered by the love he had for his kids and grandkids and especially his love for telling them stories. Mr. Basham departed this life on January 15, 2021 in Waynesboro, Tennessee making his stay in this life some 76 Years and 27 Days.

He is survived by his wife of almost 57 years Linda Virginia Moore Basham of Waynesboro, TN; two sons, Jeffery A Basham and wife Melinda of Saltillo, MS, Gregory M Basham and wife Harriett of Mansfield, TX; two brothers, Tommie Basham of Newburg, MO, Dewayne Basham of Hatley, MS; a sister, Marcell Senter of Iuka, MS; four grandchildren, Amanda Patterson, Steven Basham, Madison Basham, Cullen Basham; and three great grandchildren Olivia Basham, Ava and Griffin Patterson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Basham was preceded in death by three brothers, Randall Basham, Billy Ray Basham, Bobby Jo Basham and a sister, Gloria K Jones.

In Lieu of Flowers the family requests donations be made to the Butterfly Foundation.

Private Family Services will be held with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting.
