Jimmy Neal Bain departed this life on December 25, 2014 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 24 days. He was born in Florence, Alabama on April 1, 1947, son to the late Emory Harvey and Frankie Farris Bain. He was united in marriage to Kathy Dale Baugus on December 27, 1969, who survives.
Mr. Bain was retired after working for 42 years from the Hardin County Board of Education since June of 2010 as the Federal Programs Director. He was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ and lived in Hardin County all of his life.
Jimmy enjoyed fishing and spending time at the river. He spent a lot of time maintaining his river lot and also enjoyed working in his yard and building various things. He was a very outdoorsy person and he also loved all animals, especially his cat, Goldie.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by his children, Jeremy Bain of Knoxville, Tennessee and Carrie Ann Higginbotham and her husband, Mike, of Franklin, Tennessee; brother, Joe K. Bain and his wife, Cornelia, of Brentwood, Tennessee; mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Baugus of Savannah, Tennessee; family care givers, Scottie and Janice Baugus of Savannah, Tennessee; three nephews; two nieces; three great-nephews; and four great nieces.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Melvin Baugus.
