JIMMY MCCOMBS, JR.
Memphis, TN: James Roy McCombs, Jr. age 77 passed away June 6, 2021 at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House in Collierville, TN.
He was born October 13, 1943 in Enville, TN the son of the late James Roy and Pauline Canaday McCombs. He grew up in Memphis and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1961. He served in the TN National Guard for several years. He was a truck driver during his entire working career, retiring in 2008.
Mr. McCombs is survived by a daughter, Shelia Shand of Memphis and two step children, Mitzi Grantham and husband Billy of Wildersville, TN and Michael McKinney of Oakfield, TN; five grandchildren, Morgan McCombs, Joshua Coulter, Taylor Coulter, Jacob Coulter and Mason Coulter; three great grandchildren, Landon McCombs, Kaylee Grace-Ann Coulter and Presley Tate Coulter and two sisters, Lynda May of Memphis and Dorothy Kline (Ron) of Poway, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Grace McCombs in 2008.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 10th at Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville with Bro. Keith Carlson officiating.
