Jimmy O. Hatch, 86, of Morton, Illinois passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois.
Jimmy was born on January 16, 1936, in McNairy County, Tennessee, to Basil Manley and Pauline (Marcle) Hatch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his half brothers, Colon and Clelle Hatch, and a stepson, Michael Vales. He is survived by his wife, Virginia M. Hatch, his daughters, Wanda (Trace) Pitzen and Vickie (Kim) Hinthorne; a stepson, Timothy (LaVon) Vales; a stepdaughter, Linda Dodd; 3 brothers, Paul Junior Hatch, Tony Hatch and Willie Hatch; a sister, Jeanette (Jeff) Thompson; 5 grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer) Pitzen, Nicholas (Amy) Pitzen, Will Pitzen, Kortney Smith, Adam (Sami) Hinthorne; and 6 great grandchildren, Juniper and Jasper Pitzen, Charlie Pitzen, Asher and Ewan Smith, Layney Hinthorne and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.
He retired from Caterpillar, Inc., many years ago where he worked as a millright. He was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church in East Peoria, Illinois and a member of the Purdy Masonic Lodge in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.
He was a kind, gentle and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to garden and was a master woodworker. He was a friend to everyone he met and will be missed by all.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Bolivar, Tennessee with a one hour prior visitation. Burial will be in Little Hatchie Cemetery in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Morton, Illinois.
