Jo Ann Frazier, 76, of Saulsbury, departed this life Monday, June 22, 2020 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
The wife of Larry Frazier, who survives, she was retired as a benefits advisor from Baptist Hospital in Memphis, working there since 1986. She was born April 19, 1944 in Hardeman County, the daughter of the late Lee Roy Hammons and Essielene Sweat Hammons, and moved to Saulsbury in 1987 from Shelby County. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers, being around animals and feeding the birds, but held her greatest love for her family. Mrs. Frazier was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband, whom she married on November 4, 1976, survivors include a daughter, Mona Davis (Sam) of Memphis; a son, Charles L. Brown of Saulsbury; a stepson, Bill Frazier (Leigh Ann) of Memphis; three stepdaughters, Jo Anna Tramm (John) of Milwaukee, WI, Dawna Sprague of Cudahy, WI and Cheryl Frazier of Escanaba, MI; six sisters, Doris Mott of Middleton, Joyce Cumbo (Pat) of Chesapeake, VA, Evelyn Ghibaudy of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Kathryn Arwood (Steve) of Olive Branch, MS, Martha McDonald (Tommy) of Jackson and Sandra Duke (Mike) of Memphis; three brothers, Harold Hammons (Marty) of Greer, SC, Jimmy Hammons (Katrina) of Saulsbury and Mike Hammons (Laura) of Germantown; and 2 grandchildren. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
While visiting or attending services for Mrs. Frazier, please consider the following guidelines:
* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
