Jo Ann Garrison

February 3, 1941 — October 27, 2018

Jo Ann Garrison was born February 3, 1941 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late James Ancil and Roberta Smith Ferguson.

She was united in marriage to Clyde Garrison on October 2, 1965.

Jo Ann worked for Garan Manufacturing for 42 years. She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed making beautiful clothes for herself and others. She was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. She was very active in her church and served as church secretary for 46 years.

She was a "floweraholic" and always had room for one or two more. She was known for her beautiful daylilies not only in her community but across West Tennessee. A member of the West Tennessee DayLily Society, she received numerous ribbons and crystal glassware for her prize winning lilies. Her yard is home to over 600 varieties of daylilies. She had an amazing green thumb and loved all flowers. When Jo Ann wasn't working in her flowers, she enjoyed shopping at Belk, Macy's, or flea markets for Moon and Star glassware. She loved going on vacations especially to the beach. One of her favorite vacation spots was Savannah, Georgia or anywhere with a Lighthouse.

Jo Ann was a quiet person who stayed busy doing the things she loved. She was blessed with a multitude of talents: an amazing seamstress, flower gardener, cook and baker. She was known for her wonderfully moist Red Velvet Cake.
