Jo Kate Oliver Mesplay was born November 24, 1939 in Saltillo, Tennessee, the 7th child of the late Charlie Robert and Kate Elizabeth Gray Oliver.
She was united in marriage to Thomas Eugene Mesplay Jr. on August 2, 1973 in Caruthersville Missouri. Mr. Mesplay preceded her in death on October 21, 2011. Also preceding her in death a grandson Blake Thomas Smith on June 11, 2011; along with 3 sisters and 4 brothers and twin great-great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Powell's Chapel United Methodist Church in Hornsby Tennessee.
Mrs. Mesplay departed this life on December 9, 2021 in Hornsby, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 15 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Jean Smith, Natalie Kaye Mesplay both of Savannah Tennessee and a son, Nathan B. Mesplay of Missouri ; a sister, Alice Fay Oliver Calvert of Arizona ; a brother, Allen Wayne Oliver of Oklahoma ; three grandchildren: Rebecca Hooker, Johnny Hooker, and Kate Mesplay; three great grandchildren: Austin Whitely, Victorea Gestring, and Sophia Hooker; 3 great-great-grandchildren , Adam Whitely, Alex Whitely, Keegan Harris.
A caregiver of many, Mrs. Mesplay was loved by her community, family and many friends.
