Jo Ann Tackett

Jo Ann (Bo) Tackett was born July 22, 1933 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Mansel and Vertle Sharp Isbell.

She was united in marriage to Alfred Tackett. Mr. Tackett preceded her in death on November 21, 1999.

Bo was a 1951 graduate of Selmer High School. She was employed in Quality Control as a "Back Shoe Girl" at Brown Shoe Company in Selmer for many years. Vegetable gardening, canning, and cooking for others were among her favorite pastimes. Bo was a former member of the Eastview Ruritan Club and was a faithful member of the Fourth Street church of Christ in Selmer, where she taught the nursery class for many years. Bo loved the Lord, her family and friends with all her heart.

Bo departed this life on April 13, 2021 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 87 Years, 8 Months, 22 Days. She is survived by a sister, Marie Goodrum and husband Jim of Selmer, TN; two nieces, Kathy Finlayson and Susie Godfrey, both of Selmer, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Bo was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Edith Moore, and a niece, Gretchen Eliane Goodrum.
