Mrs. Brown, age 84, of Middleton, passed from this life on Monday night, February 10, 2020, at her home.
She was born in and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. The daughter of the late Wood Tate and Mary Christine Burnett Webster, she had worked at Thyssen-Krupp (formerly known as Dover) in Middleton as an electronics tester for 29 years and 5 years with Hardeman Garment Factory. She married Mr. Marlon E. Brown on Friday, November 17, 1978 and together they enjoyed 41 happy years.
Mrs. Brown was part of the West Memorial Baptist Church near Saulsbury. She and her husband were active in and enjoyed square dancing, something they did for 33 years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, flowers, plants and gardening. At holiday time and other family gatherings, she loved to cook and spend time with all her relatives especially her 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she leaves daughters, Anita Sanders (Terry) of Jackson and Melissa Brown (Robert Bruce) of Ripley, MS; sons, Lynn and James Howell (Tammy), of Middleton and Mark Brown (Rhonda), also of Middleton; and brother, W. T. Webster (Virgie) of Middleton.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver of several years, Amy Crouse, for her dedication in helping Mrs. Brown and her family.
Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jeremy Tate Howell and Mary Brown; a great-grandchild, Amber Keller; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Howell; and brother, James Douglas Webster.
