JOANIE LOWERY Henderson, TN: Joanie Lynn Lowery age 63, passed away May 24, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born March 24, 1959 in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Jimmy Glen and Dorothy Jean Ligon Cupples. She grew up in Henderson and was a 1977 graduate of Chester County High School. She married Richard Lowery on February 22, 2008. They made their home in Henderson. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and she loved her dogs and they were like her children, several had preceded her but her beloved “Oldie” survives. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, she was a talented artist. Mrs. Lowery is survived by her husband, Richard Lowery of Henderson; a stepson, Jason Lowery of Augusta, GA, and two step daughters, Amy Smith (Jason) of Evans, GA and Barbara Williams (Gordon) of Canton, GA; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; a brother, Toby Cupples (Charlotte) of Henderson and two sisters, Sandy Fesmire (Dennis) of Lexington and Joby Ralls (Kenneth) of Finger. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 28th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Mark McCaslin officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
