JoAnn McNear DeLong departed this life on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 27 days. She was born in Monteagle, Tennessee on December 4, 1945, the daughter of the late Leonard and Mildred McNear. On October 13, 2001, she was united in marriage to Fred DeLong, who preceded her in death on March 24, 2014.
JoAnn was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister-in-law.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Burney of Adamsville, Tennessee, Doreen Handing and Ray Handing, both of Savannah, Tennessee; son-in-law, Freddie DeLong of Adamsville, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Jennie Allen and Maxine Langly, both of Waverly, Tennessee; brother, Mike McNear; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, JoAnn was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorri DeLong; brothers, Wayne McNear and Danny McNear; sisters, Brenda McNear and Wilma Jean McNear.
JoAnn was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister-in-law.
