JoAnne Eubanks

August 10, 1939 — June 27, 2018

JoAnne Eubanks was born August 10, 1939 to the late Elmer and Edna Carter in Athens, Alabama. She passed from this life on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

She attended Mars Hill Bible School in Florence, Alabama and graduated with a group of beloved friends in 1957. Following her graduation from Mars Hill, she attended Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tennessee. There she met Danny Eubanks, her loving husband. After their marriage in 1959, they began a life of ministry together in McNairy County that has involved many churches of Christ and has lasted for almost 60 years.

JoAnne was a homemaker who cared for her own children well in addition to caring for many other children. She loved antiques, holiday decorations (especially Christmas) and tasty food. She loved to laugh and her sense of humor is what many people remember. She was well-known for her encouragement especially in the form of a hand written note in the mail.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dan Eubanks; her daughter Dana along with her husband and son George and Brendan Welty; her daughter Anna along with her husband and children, Brad, Grace, Austin and Marian Barber.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Edna Carter and her sister Shirley LeMay.
