    Joey Neal Alexander

    October 30, 1963 - May 19, 2022

Joey Neal Alexander, 58, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on May 19, 2022. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee, on October 30, 1963, and raised there as a child. He had also lived in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bartlett, Tennessee, where he graduated high school at Bartlett High and attended University of Memphis. He spent some time in college at Corpus Christi and Austin, Texas, before moving to Little Rock in 2001, where he worked at a large chain convenience store working several positions. He had previously worked at Andina Cafe & Coffee Roastery and the Shell Corporation. Joey was compassionate, had a soft heart and cared for all; he was soft spoken, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed people and life. Joey loved to play and excelled at the game of volleyball when he was younger. He was a hard worker and had excellent accounting skills. He leaves behind his mother, Mary Reed Friedlander (Steve) of Bartlett, Tennessee; two brothers, Chris Kirkman (Teresa) of Eads, Tennessee, and Andy Friedlander of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister, Tracy Gilliam (Sean) of Memphis, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Alexander. For those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Joey Neal Alexander.
