John E. Kramer

February 1, 1941 — October 26, 2021

Mr. Kramer departed this life on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at his home in Bolivar.

A native of Medford, MA, he was the son of the late John and Katherine Young and was raised by his beloved grandparents, John H., and Katherine Kramer (Pop and Nana). Not long after his marriage to Sue Parker on October 8, 1961, in Myrtle Beach, SC, they moved to Buies Creek, NC where he spent the majority of his life. He had been owner of Buies Creek Grocery for 10 years before working in retail sales. The Kramer's have lived in Hardeman County for over 20 years.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Kramer enjoyed going bird hunting and traveling to antique car shows where he became quite the aficionado of older vehicles. He served his country in the US Air Force.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Sue Kramer of Bolivar; two sons, James (Melissa) Kramer of Biloxi, MS, and Mark (Deanne) Kramer of Jackson; six grandchildren, Chris, Jeremy, Ashley, Olivia, Chase, and Lily; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
