Mrs. Johnnie E. Cofer, age 84 of Hornsby, departed this life Saturday night, March 22, 2014 at Bolivar General Hospital in Bolivar.
Mrs. Cofer was born in Hornsby, Tennessee May 2, 1929 to the late John and Bessie Webb Harvell. She graduated from Bolivar Central High School with the class of 1947 and on July 13 of the same year, she was united in marriage to Mr. Joe W. Cofer, who survives. Past residences include Wisconsin, Michigan and Massachusetts prior to her return to Hardeman County 20 years ago. She was a member of Hornsby Baptist Church. Her favorite pastimes included visiting antique stores & auctions, arts & crafts, gardening and interior decoration.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Regina Boldt and husband Ralph of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a son, Rick Cofer and wife Nancy of Altus, Oklahoma; a sister, Katherine DeBerry of Nashville; four grandchildren, Sally Cookson, Becca Roberts, Matthew Boldt and Christopher Boldt; and two great-grandchildren, Eli Roberts and Cora Sue Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Lillian Carter.
