Johnny Beckham Sherrill of Waynesboro, TN was born July 14, 1952 in Lewis County, TN. He was united in marriage to the former Joyce Ann Butler on June 5, 1971. Mr. Sherrill was a logger and a member of the Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee.
Mr. Sherrill departed this life on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at his home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years and 1 Day surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Butler Sherrill of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Rhonda Frazier and husband, Chase of Waynesboro, TN and Sabrina Pevahouse and husband, Roy Gene of Clifton, TN; grandchildren, Victoria Pope, husband, Kyle, Toby Dildine, Katie Thompson, Kelby Thompson, Kameron Thompson, Craig Pevahouse, wife, Mendy, Caitlyn Pevahouse and McKenzie Ledford; great-grandchild, Gracie Haddock; his parents, John W. and Betty Jean Beckham Sherrill of Waynesboro, TN; a brother, Douglas Sherrill and wife, Melissa of Clifton, TN; sisters, Rita Gail Sherrill of Waynesboro, TN and Sherry Lynn Rich and husband, Gary of Clifton, TN and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Houston Baptist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Jerry Wayne Franks officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family. Visitation begins at 6 pm on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Houston Baptist Church and continue until service time.
Pallbearers will be Roy Gene Pevahouse, Chase Frazier, Toby Dildine, Kelby Thompson, Kyle Pope and Craig Pevahouse with honorary pallbearers being Gary Rich, Kameron Thompson and Brian Pulley.
