JOYCE CUPPLES
Henderson, TN: Joyce Eleanor King Cupples age 74 passed away July 30, 2020 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born December 14, 1945 in Bemis, TN, the daughter of the late James Walter ‘Bud’ King and Eva Fortune King. She grew up in Bemis and graduated from Jackson Central Merry High School. She married Bobby Wayne Cupples and they made their home in Henderson. Mr. Cupples was an ordained minister and she worked with and supported his ministry. She also worked various jobs to help the family. She was a member of the Malesus United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed working and helping people and was very close to her seven sisters through the years.
Mrs. Cupples is survived by two sons, James Cupples of Jackson and Robert Cupples of Decaturville, TN; six grandchildren, Dustin Cupples, Tyler Cupples, Samantha Cupples, Shanna Cupples, Elizabeth Cupples and Jonathan Cupples and three great grandchildren, Gavin Cupples, Bryce Cupples and Weston Jones and two sisters, Peggy Sue Thompson of Henderson and Vernell Allen of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Wayne Cupples in 2018 and five sisters, Melba Talley, Faye Messini, Shirley Thompson, Betty King and Dottie McDaniel.
There will be a private family service with burial to follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.
