Mrs. Hooper passed away Tuesday morning at her home.
She was born in Henderson, the daughter of the late John Richard and Ethel Serena Davis Morrison and was a graduate of Chester County High School. In her early years, she worked as a hairdresser and beautician and later became unit secretary at Bolivar General Hospital. In her later years, she was a homemaker. She lived all of her life in Chester and Hardeman Counties.
On Monday, March 7, 1966, she was united in marriage to Mr. Donald R. Hooper, who survives. Mrs. Hooper was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. A loving housewife and mother, she was a great cook who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially baking cookies for the latter. She also enjoyed decorating.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Parramore and husband, Henry of Toone; her sons, Greg Hooper and wife, Tammy, of Jackson and Christopher Hooper of Toone; two sisters, Judy Patterson and husband, Eddie, and Marie Gaddy and husband, Ed, both of Henderson; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Morrison (wife of deceased brother, Jerry) and Nelta Morrison (wife of deceased brother, Richard), both of Henderson; four grandchildren, Kristen Kelley and husband, Coty, of Toone, Ethan, Logan and Landon Hooper, all of Jackson; and one great-grandchild, Harper Kelley of Toone.
