Juanita King Overton, 86, of Bolivar, passed away Thurs., November 11th at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The widow of Nathan "Geena Boy" Overton, who departed this life August 19, 1982, after almost 30 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. She also worked at the dietary department of Bolivar General Hospital, and as a teacher's aid and in the cafeteria at Bolivar Central High School. Mrs. Overton was born February 4, 1935, in Madison County, daughter of the late Ernest Nunnery King and Annie Bee Cisco King and lived in Detroit, Michigan prior to moving back here in 1973. She enjoyed quilting, coloring in her books, and watching her hummingbirds, but her #1 favorite hobby was taking care of her family, whom she dearly loved. She was a member of Cloverport Baptist Church.
Survivors include her four sons, Billy Overton of Bolivar, Richard Overton (Renee') of Trenton, Steve Overton (Cathy) of Jackson and Michael Overton (Wanda) of Bolivar; two sisters, Judy Ann Wilson of Medon and Jean Marie Perdue of Bolivar; 10 grandchildren, Stacy Wood, Lee Overton, Lori Farrow, Clint, Anthony and Shawna Overton, Jessica Shaffer, Justin, Steven and Jason Overton; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Faye King and Janie Lorraine Daniel; and three brothers, Vernice Elijah King, Ernest Lafayette King and Bobby Lynn King.
