Juanita (Mamaw) Hendrix was born July 3, 1928 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Rufe M. and Ethel Burrows Johnson.
She was united in marriage to JB Hendrix on May 29, 1946. Mr. Hendrix preceded her in death on May 14, 1993.
Mrs. Hendrix was affectionately known as "Mamaw" to all who knew and loved her. She was a member of Beauty Hill Pentecostal Church in Bethel Springs. She worked for Brown Shoe Company for a few years, leaving to raise her three children. From 1981 until recent, she worked with her daughter at TaxWorks by Gail.
She was a Christian lady with a gentle spirit and warm smile. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love and wonderful memories for her family to treasure.
Mrs. Hendrix departed this life on September 19, 2019 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 2 Months, 16 Days. She is survived by
two daughters, Gail Stewart (Stanley) of Bethel Springs, TN, Karen Davis (Thomas) of Bethel Springs, TN; daughter-in-law, Joyce Hendrix of Jackson, TN; two sisters, Evie Stevens of Gonzales, LA, Olegia Lipford of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Tracey Stewart, Pamela Davis, Brian Davis (Lisa), Jennifer Hamilton (Billy); five great grandchildren, Joshua Stewart (Kyndall), Avery Davis, Adam Davis, Blake Williams (Kaylee), Jessica Hubanks; three great great grandchildren, Joseph Stewart, Harlow Stewart, Ella Mae Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by a son, Birchel Hendrix; infant daughter, Patricia Hendrix; two sisters, Euila Holland, Maudine Johnson; five brothers, Guy, Elbert, Travis, Mancel, and Tilman Johnson; a grandson, Randy Stewart.
