Judy Bryant King, age 68, of Bolivar, passed from this life on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Memphis.
She was born in Jackson on October 17, 1952, daughter of the late Bobby and Mabel Estelle Avent Bryant and lived her life here. She worked at Jervis for a time and received her BSN from Union University. She later went to back school, receiving her MSN in Nursing and was retired as a charge nurse with Lakeside Behavioral Health System. She was known as a voracious reader and also enjoyed tending to her flowers, cleaning and horses, but especially loved being around her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. Ms. King was Pentecostal in belief.
Survivors include two daughters, Marcy Wilbanks of Bolivar and C.J. King of Memphis; a brother, John Bryant of Hickory Valley; a sister, Glenda Watkins of Florida; and four grandchildren, Aaron (A.J.) and Alexis Wilbanks, Jacelyn Dior Carroll Jones and S.J. Jones, Jr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Dawn King; a son, John Wayne King, Jr.; and four brothers, Bobby Jr., Joe Henry, Terry Eugene and Ronnie Lee Bryant. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Parrans Chapel Baptist Church.
