Katie Hornbeak, age 36, of Henderson

Katie Hornbeak Henderson: Catherine May Hornbeak, age 36, the wife of Jaret Doyle Hornbeak, passed Saturday evening, November 20, 2021 at Jackson General Hospital She was born in Milford, Massachusetts, the daughter of Jorge Diaz and the late Diane Sandra Bliss Diaz. She grew up in Bellingham, MA and was a 2003 graduate of Bellingham High School. She later earned an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Fisher College in Boston, MA. She married Jaret Hornbeak, August 16, 2014. While living in Massachusetts she was a dedicated caregiver for The Kennedy Donavan Center. Since moving to Henderson she has been working as a cashier for Hays Cash Savers. She was a loving wife and devoted mother to her four children. She is survived by her husband; Jaret Doyle Hornbeak, four children; Anthony Hornbeak, Jack Hornbeak, Madison Diaz, and Lauren Hornbeak, and father Jorge Diaz all of Henderson and a brother Lee Diaz (Rachel) Medway of Massachusetts. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law David and Gayle Smith Cox of Henderson, sister-in-law Margot Cox of Lexington, brother-in-law Joel Cox (Megan Thomas) of Henderson and grandmother-in-law Dot Smith of Henderson (the late L.C. Smith). She was preceded in death by her mother Diane Sandra Bliss Diaz. Memorial services will be 5:00 PM Saturday, November 27th at Shackelford Funeral Directors Crook Avenue Chapel.
