Katie Lee Keele was born on November 19, 1941 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Arthur Franks and Bertie Hurley Henson.
On October 13, 1956, she was united in marriage to Cletis Earl Keele, who preceded his wife in death on December 29, 2020.
She attended Faith Apostolic Church and was a member of Sand Hill Holiness Church where her husband, Cletis, served as Pastor for 47 years. She also participated in the church choir. Katie was a great woman of God, a great wife, and the most loving mother and grandmother. You would never leave the house hungry or without lots of hugs. Katie was a lover of books, gardening, singing, and cooking.
Katie Lee Keele departed this life on April 5, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 80 years, 4 months, and 17 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Keele of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Ricky Keele and Jeffrey Keele, both of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Carolyn Henson Smith of Kossuth, Mississippi and Peggy Brown; brothers, Rex Franks of Savannah, Tennessee, JC Franks of Savannah, Tennessee, and Daniel Henson of Shiloh, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Katie was preceded in death by her son, Nicky Keele; sisters, Rebecca Henson Todd and Willie Mae Henson; brothers, Thomas Henson, Marvin Franks, and Arthur (Ottie) Ray Franks; and great grandchild, Felix Melson.
