Kermit Morris Carothers was born June 6, 1958 in Savannah, TN the son of the late Kermit Roosevelt and Mary Thelda Flatt Carothers.
He was united in marriage to Cathy Hill on January 22, 1983.
Morris was a graduate of Adamsville High School, and retired from Pickwick Electric Cooperative following 39 years of service. Blacksmithing, training horses, reading, politics, and watching FOX News were some of his favorite pastimes. Morris was a faithful member of the Adamsville church of Christ, where he served as an Elder for many years.
Morris departed this life on July 6, 2019 at his home in Adamsville, Tennessee, surrounded by his family and loved ones, at the age of 61 Years, 1 Month. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cathy Hill Carothers; four sons: John Henry Carothers and wife Laura, Richard Lee Carothers, Benjamin Stuart Carothers and wife Shauna, and Thomas Andrew Carothers and wife Sarah; seven grandchildren: Kiptyn, Mila Kate, Paisley, William, Kermit James, Clara Jane, and Joni; four brothers: Jim Carothers and wife Wanda, Paul Carothers and wife Terrie, Tim Carothers and wife Teresa, and Dell Carothers; his in-laws, Homer and Jo Hill; a brother-in-law, Dennis Neal Plunk; special friends David and Millie Rushlow, Jimmy and Sylvia Naylor, and Van and Maryanne Vansandt; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Morris was preceded in death by two sisters, Dot Carothers and Josie Plunk.
