Larry Eugene Doles

Mr. Doles passed from this life on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his home near Bolivar.

He was born in Bolivar to the late Jeannie Mae Gates Doles (d. 1994) and Roy Albert Doles, who survives. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Doles (d: 2005).

Mr. Doles lived most of his life in Hardeman County except for 10 years when he lived in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, a place he loved to be. A self-employed carpenter and handyman, he was Pentecostal in belief. Larry enjoyed life and spread his light-heartedness and laughter to all those around him. An avid fisherman and hunter, he especially loved taking care of and spending time with all his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he leaves his sister, Wanda West (Dude) of Toone; two brothers, James Doles (Tracy) and Billy Doles, both of Bolivar; five aunts, Mary Gramer of Pocahontas, Carolyn Barkley of Ramer, Doris Roberts of Selmer, Bonnie Frazier of Corinth and Tressie Vuncannon of Walnut; seven nephews, Josh Bartosovic, Jacob and Phillip West, Logan, Bobby, Dustin and Brenna Doles; and two nieces, Bella and Brenya Doles.

Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.

* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
