LARRY ‘BUBBA’ PRIVETT
Henderson, TN: Larry Dale ‘Bubba’ Privett, age 60 passed away September 29, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born October 24, 1958 in Jackson, the son of the late Morris Edward and Mary Elizabeth Singleton Privett. He attended school at South Side. He farmed with his father as a young man and drove for Dalton Poultry. He married Rhonda Pickett in 1981 and they made their home in Henderson. He worked for the TDOT as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and also the Chester County Highway Dept. He retired in 2009. He was a member of the Parkburg Baptist Church.
He loved deer hunting and was a huge NASCAR fan, his favorite drivers being Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Mr. Privett is survived by his wife, Rhonda Ann Pickett Privett, a daughter, Robin Privett, his mother-in-law, Doris Pickett of Henderson; a brother, James Privett (Glenda) of Jackson; three sisters, Doris Lumsden (Ron) and Wanda Hill (Bobby) both of Henderson and Linda Bridger of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jenna Elizabeth Privett, January 4, 1987 and his father-in-law, Quay Pickett in 2015.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Danny Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue beginning at 9:00 AM on Tuesday until service time at 1:00 PM.
