Laverne Moffett Davidson was born on December 9, 1926 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Charles R. and Ivy Godwin Moffett.
Laverne retired from Brown Shoe Company after working there for many years. She went on to work for Hardin County RSVP as a receptionist for several years after her retirement. She was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church in Savannah, Tennessee. Laverne loved God, her church, and her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, canning, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Laverne Moffett Davidson departed this life on August 27, 2022 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 95 years, 8 months, and 18 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Dicus of Savannah, Tennessee and Paula Plunk of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; son, Hardy Davidson and his wife Lavenia of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Chantil Jeffreys, Terry Dicus, Joe Davidson, Steve Davidson, Casey Davidson, and Luke Davidson; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Laverne was preceded in death by her brother, Vallie Dee Moffett and sisters, Geraldine Bradford, Pauline Cornelius, Charlie Mae Moffett, and Billie Jean Hall.
