Leon Rutledge was born November 11, 1936 in Philadelphia, MS the son of the late Arthur Lee Rutledge and Neicee Ezelle Rutledge.
Leon was united in marriage to Mary Scott on May 4, 1957. He was a member of the Olive Hill Baptist Church in Guys, Tennessee where he served as a Deacon for many years.
Leon was a hardworking, family loving man. He worked as a mechanic most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with grandkids.
He departed this life on December 30, 2021 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 85 Years, 1 Month, 19 Days.
Mr. Rutledge is survived by his wife of 64 years and 7 months, Mary Rutledge; his children: Henry Rutledge, Allen Rutledge (Nita), Donna George; five grandchildren: Andy, Dana, Michelle, Holly and Sarah; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rutledge was preceded in death by a son, Billy Rutledge.
