LEONARD WAYNE MCNEAR
was born in Monteagle, Tennessee on January 15, 1951 the son of the late Leonard Ballard and Mildred Allean Hamby McNear.
On June 15, 1997 he was united in marriage to Maxine Anita Langley, who survives.
Leonard served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of the Shriners. Leonard enjoyed flea marketing and miscellaneous trading. In his spare time he loved fishing, traveling and watching tv, especially wrestling. Leonard loved dogs, lighthouses and the United States Air Force.
He departed this life on February 11, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 years and 27 days.
In addition to his wife of 22 years, Maxine McNear of Adamsville, Tennessee he is survived by his children, Royal Andrew Langley of Indiana, Roi Andrea Cook of Adamsville, Tennessee and Roiatta Gist of Crossville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jennifer Nelms, Garrity Cook, Dashaa Hall, Zane Langley, Miles Gist and Dylan Hall; great grandchild, Layla Nelms; sister, JoAnn DeLong of Enville, Tennessee; and brother, Mike McNear of Florence, Alabama.
In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by three sisters, Brenda Kay McNear, Mary Elizabeth McNear and Jeannie Frontenia McNear and one brother, Danny McNear.
