Lesbie V. Ayers Howell

Lesbie Howell, age 93, Waynesboro, TN was born June 14, 1926 in Collinwood, TN, to the late Charlie and Madgie Horton Ayers. She married A. B. Howell, July 17, 1954 and he preceded her in death, December 17, 1994. Mrs. Howell, a Genesco retiree, was a member of Green River Baptist Church and Collinwood Senior Citizens. She departed this life, December 8, 2019 at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro. Survivors, son, Steve Howell, wife, Dorthy, Lawrenceburg, TN; daughter, Sandra Howell, Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Jyl Risner and Christopher Clayton, wife, Bridget; great-grandchildren, Jordan Butler, Kelsey Risner, Owen Risner, Hunter Clayton and Autumn Clayton; great-great-grandchild, Beau Butler; brother, Ross Ayers, wife, Judy, Columbia, TN; sisters, Lorene Pigg, Collinwood, TN, Hazel Casteel and Susie Long both of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brother, Ralph Ayers and sister, Faye Melson.

Services will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee. Mike Kemper, Greg Eaton and Kerry Franks will officiate with burial in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee, Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Benny, Ivan and Barry Ayers, Jerry Pigg, Phillip Casteel, Mike and Andy Long and Patrick Melson.
