Linda Gayle Prater Holder

Linda Gayle Prater Holder,72, left this earth March 1, 2018 after a long and courageous battle. She was a king, loving, and gentle spirit that will be greatly missed.

Linda was born February 21, 1946 in Clifton, Tennessee. She graduated from Frank Hughes High School and later married James Floyd Holder. They made their home in Manchester, Tennessee.

Linda and James enjoyed many years of traveling, gardening, and volunteer work. She was very proud to work with Good Samaritan and Share Ministries and also be a member of Trinity Baptist Church, all in Manchester. Linda was very talented with needle point and knitting and loved her meow babies. She also loved shopping.

Preceding her in death were her parents Houston Holly and Hallie Wheat Prater and sisters Ruth P. Jeter (Ray) and Analou P. Simmons (Joe).

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, James Floyd Holder; sister, Reba P, Bachuss (James); nephews and nieces, Bobby Simmons, Mellony Wilson (James), Jed Bachuss, Jill Bachuss, Holly Jeter ( Mary Beth); great nephews and nieces, Chris Wilson (Kerri), Julianne Williams (Chris), Seth Wilson, Megan Rinehart, Olivia Plant, and Gracie Plant; and special great great nephew Grayson Williams.
