Mrs. Bishop, age 65, of Bolivar, passed from this life at her sister's home near Toone on Friday morning, August 28, 2020.
She was born in Jackson, the daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Virginia Cox King and lived all of her life in Hardeman County. The widow of Malcolm Daniel Bishop, Jr., they were married on December 12, 1986. His passing came following 28 years of marriage on April 16, 2015. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Ray King.
Mrs. Bishop had been employed at several factories in the area working in assembly. A lady of few words, she enjoyed attending auctions and going to the river with her mother to fish.
She leaves two sisters, Virginia Lanette King of Toone and Penny Blaylock (Bobby) of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Thomas Leon King of Toone and Timothy Lee King of Bolivar; two step-sons, Barry Bishop (Jennifer) of Selmer and Richie Bishop of Toone; and six nieces and nephews, Chad Blaylock, Brad Blaylock, Grant King, Joe King, Clinton King and Melissa King.
