Mrs. Newman passed away Monday afternoon, July 6, 2020, at her home near Hornsby, TN.
She was born on Monday, October 23, 1944 in Bethel Springs, TN to the late Will and Nola Campbell Moore. She was a 1963 graduate of Selmer High School and on July 31, 1966 married Mr. Guy Earl Newman. Mr. Newman departed this life on July 4, 1997 following nearly 31 years of marriage.
She moved to Hardeman County in 1966 and worked at Harman Automotive for a few years before settling in as a homemaker and rearing her children. Mrs. Newman was a faithful member of the Hatchie Baptist Church and in her leisure time, enjoyed yard work, flowers, being outdoors, caring for others and time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter.
She leaves two daughters, Kim Newman and Melissa Newman Lyles, both of Hornsby; granddaughter, Abbie Lyles of Hornsby; two sisters, Willie Brown of Selmer and Johnnie Cull (Jerry) of Bethel Springs; one brother, Doyle Moore (Judy) of Bethel Springs and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Cornetta Layton, Rosetta Ferguson and Mary Moore; and four brothers, Jack, Frank, Haven and Cletus Moore.

While visiting or attending services for Mrs. Newman, please consider the following guidelines:
* Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person;
* Refrain from hugs and handshakes;
* When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth;
* Wash your hands often;
* Avoid touching your face; and
* Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
