LOUISE FLOWERS ROWLAND
Henderson, TN: Mildred Louise Flowers Rowland age 96 passed away January 12, 2021 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born February 13, 1924 in Lauderdale County near Henning, and reared in the Woodville Community of Chester County, the daughter of the late Robert Henry and Almedia Jernigan Flowers. She attended schools in Chester County and in 1940 she married Willard Andrew Rowland. They made their home in the Woodville Community, where Mr. Rowland farmed and worked for the State of Tennessee Hwy. Dept. Mr. Rowland died March 1987.
She was employed for twenty years by Salant & Salant Mfg. and later Chester Mfg.
She was a member of the Piney Grove Church of God, where she had been a Sunday School Teacher.
She enjoyed working in her flowers, quilting, and needlework.
Mrs. Rowland is survived by a son, Larry Rowland and wife Virginia of Henderson; two grandsons, Marty Rowland and wife Melissa of Henderson and Joey Rowland of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willard Andrew Rowland, a son, Donald H. Rowland on November 29, 2009; 3 brothers, Herman Flowers, Jim Flowers and Bulin Flowers and two sisters, Eula Mae Johnson and Marie Hodge.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, January 15th at Woodville Cemetery, with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating.
