Loyce Aldon Inman was born December 17, 1924, the second child of the late Cuba and Nellie Lipford Inman. He was the second oldest of six brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Inman served his country honorably in the United States Navy, Seaman 1st Class from November 8, 1943 - January 21, 1947 aboard the USS Storm King during World War II.
He married the love of his life, Burlene Shelton on January 13, 1944. They were married for 58 years at her passing on October 8, 2002.
After 13 years of marriage, they welcomed their only child, Janice. She was his pride and joy. Mr. Inman worked for and retired after 25 years at Brown Shoe Company. After retiring, he went to work for Western State in Bolivar, TN retiring as superintendent of laundry. He was a car man, as all of the Inman brothers were always trading, swapping, and selling.
He loved and adored his daughter, Janice Moore and son-in-love, Bennie Moore; he cherished his two grandchildren, Ginger Moore Hill and husband, Adam, Garrett Moore and fiancé, Jessica Nixon along with his great grandchildren, Alex, Cole, and Jack Jarnagin, Daulton and Case Hill, Greyson Moore, Jesse Smith and Haelynn Moore; brother, Larry Inman; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Inman was preceded in death by a great grandson, Noah Jarnagin; two sisters, Marie Shelton and Dorothy Nichols; five brothers, Loyd, J.D., Thomas, Robert and Jerry Inman.
